Had a lovely dinner that would've been even better had it been a little more timely. The food was delicious and creative. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it took 45 minutes to get our first drink and place our food order, so our dinner ran longer than the two hours we had planned and we weren't able to have dessert.

Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 For our anniversary, we chose this restaurant, drawn in by its reputation for fine dining and its stunning ambiance. With a reservation, we were promptly seated beneath the central blossom tree it was a beautiful touch that added to the intimate atmosphere. The check in staff was welcoming, and James, our server, was attentive and accommodating throughout the night. What We Ordered: *The Marigold Hotel Cocktail* This drink started off great, but as it sat on the table, the flavors seemed to deteriorate, which was a bit disappointing. *Litchi Martini* The subtle sweetness from the lychee added depth and balance, making it my favorite drink of the night. *Chef's Choice Nigiri ($75)* While the presentation was elegant and the fish undeniably fresh, the selection felt underwhelming. The flavors, though delicate, lacked the uniqueness one might expect at this price point. The toro stood out as a highlight, but overall, this dish didn't justify its cost. *Negi Toro Maki Roll* If I ever see a negitoro on the menu I have into order it bc it's my favorite, this one was decent even tho the seaweed was a tad bit stale. *Steak Tartare* Hands down, my favorite dish of the night. The accompanying milk toast was a delightful contrast soft yet crispy and paired beautifully with the tartare. The truffle flavor was prominent and well balanced, and it completely erased any hesitation about eating raw meat. A perfect 5/5. *Pork Sticky Ribs* While I don't eat pork, my boyfriend loved this dish. The meat was tender, fall off the bone, with a flavorful sweet and sour glaze that made it a hit for him. *Grilled Ribeye* Another highlight of the night! Meat was tender and not dry at all even for well done. The chimichurri was really good, and the accompanying vegetables provided a nice palate cleanser. For dessert I got the *Japanese Matcha Tiramisu* This was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the mascarpone was soft, creamy, and well made. The hint of matcha bitterness balanced the sweetness nicely, making it an overall enjoyable dessert. This restaurant excels in ambiance and service, delivering an experience that feels special from the moment you walk in. The food, while solid, didn't quite reach the level of culinary artistry expected for the price. The standout dishes, like the steak tartare and ribeye, were exceptional, but others such as the Chef's Choice Nigiri fell short of their premium price point. The environment itself is a mixed bag: while the blossom tree and lighting create an inviting and romantic setting, the tightly spaced tables make for a somewhat cramped and noisy dining experience. At $320 for two people, this is a place best reserved for special occasions rather than casual outings. If you're seeking a restaurant with excellent service, a memorable atmosphere, and a few standout dishes, this spot delivers. Just be prepared for the premium pricing and consider skipping the Chef's Choice Nigiri. Note: Automatic 20% charge on all order.

I love this spot! You feel like you are in a fairy forest. It has a huge white tree in the middle with seating around it. We stumbled upon it one day walking around the area. They happened to have a couple of seats at the bar - otherwise- I've gone since with reservations. It's a high end Japanese restaurant. All of their food is flavorful and well thought out. It is a higher price point, but you get great service and yummy food. It is a great option for a date, but also a nice place to gather of group to have a drink and a sushi roll or app and enjoy the vibes.

Came here late on a Friday night (~9pm) with a reservation. We had to wait a little bit, but that was no issue for us, as we were able to grab drinks at the bar while we wait. I love the atmosphere here and the decor, it really gave a vibe. There's a huge tree in the middle of the restaurant with tons of up lighting which gives it a mood. The concept of the place is pretty cool. They have both a land and sea menu, which you can order from either and both. It's not often you can find a sushi bar in a Korean restaurant. My party of three decided we were feeling more Korean than seafood, but still wanted some sea items, therefore we got: -steak tartare - came with milk bread toast and a truffle aioli -truffle salmon carpaccio - flavor of the truffle and foie gras stood out and help balanced salmon -fried green beans - can never go wrong with fried green beans! -charred corn - creamy corn topped with gooey cotija cheese -A5 wagyu fried rice - splurge on yourself, you deserve it! This is bomb. Comes in a clay pot and is stirred in front of you, if you choose to. The crispy leeks and the rice if you leave it in the pot long, does it for me. -smoked wagyu short rib - star of the show! it came out on a little grill filled with a few pieces of charcoal and some kimchi, pickles, lettuce, and ssamjang for us to make wraps. The meat was so tender. Drinks-- The first round, I got the Pineapple Express (cause I'm a tequila/mezcal gal) and it was great. It was not too smokey, as most mezcal drinks tend to be. Of course, my second drink was also tequila based, which was the Figuratively Speaking. It had strawberry, fig balsamic, and kombucha. Between the two, I like the Pineapple Express more. My friends got the Litchi Martini, and a few other but their favorite was the Litchi Martini. We were so stuffed that we had absolutely no room for dessert. Service was on par. Everything about it was great. Only thing is that there is street parking, which may be hard to find some times unless you get lucky. This place is also pretty pricey, so would mainly come back for special occasions or once in a while splurge.

Food and service were really good here! The seafood was very fresh, the combination of flavors were unique and the presentation was great! This spot is definitely on the pricier side and leaning more Japanese fusion food with a hint of Korean influences/flavors. Did want to mention that one of their drinks is called the "Rye of the Rising Sun." Mentioning the flag that was used by Imperial Japan when you're labeling yourself also as a Korean restaurant is a bit ignorant and uncomfortable for Koreans (& possibly other East/South Asians), especially since that flag doesn't relate to anything positive between the two countries. Just wanted to make that known!

It was on my list since forever. Tried this place for our anniversary. If you are celebrating something and want to have a fine dining experience, this would be your place. The only reason for 4 stars is because of the seating in the restaurant. The tree and ambiance is only around a specific area which is the most part of this place. There are couple of seatings which are away from the place kind of like you would be sitting isolated and just in the back where you can barely experience the ambiance. We asked the staff to see something in between at-least to enjoy the ambiance but unfortunately they couldn't because of some reservations although we did reserve the place beforehand. Maybe you need to be specific about the seating while reserving the place? Not sure though. Food: Its Japanese and Korean inspired cuisine . We tried multiple items because the plates are shareable and good for two people. Veggie Maki- Never a fan of sushi, but this was amazing. Bao buns: They were good, but a little bit bland for our taste. Lobster rolls: The lobster rolls were really good. Spicy woke edamame: One of the best edamame with a tangy and spicy twist of sauce. Japanese Matcha Tiramisu - This was very different fusion of matcha and tiramisu. This was good. They gave a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was thoughtful. Overall, an amazing restaurant for food, but only worth it if you are able to enjoy the ambience.

Third time's a charm! Went with 4 people so it was harder to find larger portioned things to share but a few items we were able to add to, such as the scallops usually come with three but we were able to add one more. We ordered two orders of the salmon tacos bc those came with only two. Unexpectedly, they were like salmon poke tacos and were super good. Everything I've had here is super delicious, including all the drinks. The matcha tiramisu is a work of art!
